Our Projects

London Bridge Redevelopment

This project involved expanding the existing station to a new street level concourse to accommodate over 90 millions passengers per year by building new platforms, extensive modifications to existing infrastructure and installing new telecoms sitewide systems. CIS were commissioned to survey, design and install the new SISS telecommunications systems throughout the station.

Euston

This project is a part of a multi-stage project for Euston Station. The contract for CIS was to provide project management, design, installation, supervision, test and commissioning support services to the HS2 Enabling Package.

Systems included SISS CCTV, PAVA, CIS, Fibre and copper data networks, WIFI, PFM, Copper back bone and Access control.

Paddington

This project is part of an on-going commitment by Great Western Railway to provide automatic ticket gates to facilitate revenue protection and improve facilities for its passengers at its principal railway stations.

CIS had two key objectives of this project; to provide a reference system design for the CCTV coverage of the ATGs to platforms 8&9, and a reference system design to provide CCTV, PAVA, CIS and Access Control to an accessible taxi rank waiting room at London Paddington Railway Station.

Chippenham

This project was part of the re-ogranisation of the main station forecourt and carpark to improve the integration of the station with surrounding faciltiies. CIS were commissioning to develop the GRIP 4&5 VSS design to provide compliant coverage of the redeveloped area at Chippenham Station.

Waterloo

This project formed part of a fire protection renewal scheme within the retail Back of House area. Comms assets and cables were required to be renewed, modified, relocated and recovered to facilitate the fire protection of the ceiling throughout the area.

CIS undertook surveys, design, installation, test and commissioning for CCTV, Telephony and PFM systems.

NR DOO Feasibility Study

Network Rail commissioned CIS to undertake a feasibility study to assess the renewal stratgey of Driver Only CCTV. The scope of the study was to assess the feasibility of alternative approaches to system renewals including: modifications to the NR standard for more efficient deployment and identifying changes that could be made to traditional DOO CCTV to reduce capital cost but maintain compliance.
